$250 to $450 fitted covers most windshields, the glass work runs about an hour, and Ridley Park is roughly twelve minutes from the shop straight down Chester Pike past Taylor Hospital. Give us the year, make and model on the phone and the pane is confirmed and priced before you set off. We fit weekdays from eight to four, so shift schedules are worth mentioning when you book.

Ridley Park was laid out as a park suburb around a lake, and it still has the tree canopy to prove it. That changes what breaks glass here. Cars sleep under mature maples and oaks on curving streets, and the damage arrives from above as often as it does from a tailgate: a limb in a summer storm, acorns and seed pods in the fall, sap all season. Sap is the quiet one. It bakes on hard, somebody attacks it dry with a scraper, and the fine scratches left behind catch every oncoming headlight for the rest of the windshield's life. Shade does the rest, because glass that never gets direct sun holds frost longer and gets scraped and blasted with heat more often than glass on an open street.
When a windshield does come out, the bonding area is where the extra care goes on a car that has lived under trees. Sap and leaf tannin build up around the cowl and along the edge of the glass, and urethane bonds to a clean, primed pinchweld or it does not bond properly at all. So the pinchweld gets trimmed back, cleaned and primed to a sound surface, the bead goes down in one continuous run, and new moldings go on instead of the old brittle ones. Then you get a safe drive-away time based on the actual temperature that day, which in a shaded Ridley Park driveway in January is not the same number as in our bay.
“I can’t express how great these guys were. I made a call at 4pm 2 days ago. They were out the next morning first thing. Broken glass in our shop door removed and replaced in no time at all. Highly recommend.”

Two things make Ridley Park bookings different. The first is shift work: between Taylor Hospital on Chester Pike and the Boeing plant, plenty of local cars belong to people who are not free between eight and four, which is exactly the window we operate in. Say so when you call and we will find the least painful slot rather than assume a weekday morning suits. The second is the canopy. A driveway under a big maple in June is a poor place to leave a bodyshell open, because whatever falls onto a primed bonding surface stays in the bond. Either move the car into the open for the appointment or take the twelve-minute drive down Chester Pike and have it fitted under a roof.

Tell us that on the first call, because there are usually two ways round it. One is leaving the car with us for the day, since a windshield is roughly an hour of work plus the cure and does not need you present. The other is a mobile slot at whichever end of our day suits you better, at your home in Ridley Park or in a workplace lot if whoever runs the lot is fine with it. What we cannot do is weekends. We are closed Saturday and Sunday and would rather say that plainly than string you along.
It affects the preparation rather than the price. Sap and leaf residue collect around the cowl and along the edge of the windshield on a car parked under Ridley Park's trees, and that is precisely where the new urethane has to bond. Cleaning it back properly is part of the job, not an extra. What sap does affect is your old glass: scraping it off dry leaves fine scratches across the wiper sweep that scatter headlight glare at night, which is one of the reasons people here end up replacing glass that has never actually cracked.
